Love Island fans slam Islander as a ‘b****’ after making savage dig during brutal Casa Amor recoupling

LOVE Island fans have slammed Catherine a "b****" after making a savage dig during tonight's brutal Casa Amor recoupling.

Before the original villa splintered into two, Catherine looked rock solid with partner Scott van der Sluis.

But just one day into Casa Amor and it looked like it was game over for the budding romance, as new boy Elom had turned her head.

On tonight's dramatic recoupling, Catherine returned to the villa arm-in-arm with Elom, with Scott devastated.

Before she returned to the main villa, Maya asked: "You were coupled up with Catherine before she left for Casa Amor, how would you say things were going between you both?"

Scott replied: "We were good but I guess we were still open.

"I think it's been a shock for me realising that my feelings are a bit further along than when she left.

"I brought everyone around here the other day and said my piece and proved in my eyes what I thought of her."

Scott said he would be sticking with Catherine, saying: "Since the first day I've just been missing one girl and it's not changed. I've decided to stick with Catherine."

Maya then asked if he thinks Catherine would have remained loyal to him, with Scott replying: "Every thought has gone through my head in the last few days, will she, won't she. It's got to the point now where I need to stop thinking it about it and just see."

Catherine then strolled back in with Elom on her arm - leaving Scott close to tears.

The host asked Catherine: "Were you surprised that Scott remained loyal to you?"

She replied: "Yeah...I didn't walk into Casa thinking I'd find anyone that I'd have a connection with but me and Elom have a lot in common with and I owe it to myself to explore more.

"I don't live life with regrets and what I feel in the moment is what I went with."

Maya asked Scott: "You look shocked," to which he fired back: "Maybe some of the opinions the other day were aimed at the wrong person.

"F*** it, the game is the game."

This prompted Catherine to hit back with a savage response and said: "Okay...it's still aimed at you babe."

Maya then asked: "Scott, you didn't expect Catherine to recouple, did you?"

He added: "I didn't know but it is what it is."

Many fans were quick to defend Scott's reaction and slam Catherine for being "cruel".
