Marlon Dingle faces tough situation with Gail in Emmerdale
GAIL rocked up the Dales, taking the village by surprise and finding herself a job in the Woolpack kitchen.
Next week, Emmerdale chef Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock) faces a huge dilemma with his new assistant.
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was stunned and fuming when her son Ryan Stocks (James Moore) gave his new girlfriend Gail (Rachael Gill-Davis) a job in the Woolpack without her approval.
Ryan's decision was made following Naomi Walters' dramatic departure after a year in Emmerdale.
Naomi had been hired in the Woolpack kitchen after facing justice for being involved in Nicola King's mugging but abruptly quit her job.
Gail, on the other hand, first came back to the eponymous ITV village to a puzzled Ryan in June, 2023.
More Emmerdale
This led to the pair rekindling their romance after four years apart.
Unfortunately, Gail is due to cause issues in the iconic Emmerdale pub as she's proven to be incompetent.
Marlon is at his wit's end with the new employee and takes action but Charity ignores his pleas to sack her.
The following day, Charity grows increasingly uneasy at Gail’s escalating series of mistakes and a decision is made to let her go.

Marlon’s relief is tempered, however, by the knowledge that he’ll need to be the one to do it.
But nothing goes according to plan and the decision is harder for him to make when he accidentally ends up bonding with Gail over horror films instead of sacking her.
