TOWIE legend in talks to join rival reality show for five figure fee – after bitter on screen split with ex
TOWIE star Dan Edgar may be swapping the Essex reality show in a bid to find love on MTV's Celebs Ex on the Beach.
Dan - who recently split with co-star girlfriend Amber Turner after six years - is said to be weighing it up after being offered a whopping £50,000 to take part in the upcoming series.
It comes after The Sun revealed Amber had flown 2,000 miles to confront Dan on the show over cheating rumours following their bitter split.
Now, Dan has been offered the chance to sign up for the raunchy MTV show, which sees contestant's exes pop up at various points throughout the series to cause mayhem.
A source exclusively told The Sun: “MTV are really keen to sign Dan up for the new series of Celeb Ex on the Beach now that he is single.
"They’ve offered him a lot of money, around £50,000, so he is seriously considering it."

They went on: "He was previously approached about Celebs Go Dating after he and Amber split, but couldn’t do it as the filming dates clashed with Towie.
"But that won’t be a problem for this show, so don’t be surprised if you see him hitting the beach very soon."
The Sun have contacted Dan's rep for comment.
It comes just days after Dan and Amber suffered an awkward run-in while filming scenes for the new series.

Amber was previously left worried that Dan’s new love interest would join the show.
New images show the star wearing a pretty patterned dress as she strolls into a restaurant with her girl gang.
She can be seen nervously looking over her shoulder while Chloe Meadows spots Dan at the other side of the room.
A source told us Amber surprised the Towie cast by turning up in Paphos.
None of the other cast members were aware that she would be joining on the trip.
The long awaited conversation between Amber and Dan was "explosive" and Amber was "furious", the source revealed.
ITV viewers will have to wait until the summer to see what happens between the two.
The new series is set to be "super dramatic."
