EastEnders’ Louisa Lytton returns to work with huge new job as she follows in Love Island host’s footsteps
EASTENDERS star Louisa Lytton has landed a huge new theatre job.
The star, 34, who has been on maternity leave, will take on a role in 2:22 A Ghost Story as it goes on tour around the UK.
Louisa will be taking on the role of Jenny, following in the footsteps of the likes of Laura Whitmore and Cheryl, who have all played her.
The star, best known for playing Ruby Allen on the BBC soap, announced the exciting news today alongside the first image of her in the show.
She shared: “Thrilled to finally be able to say I’m back on the boards! With a new cast of @222aghoststory A gift of a role, an incredible script.
“Pretty dreamy stuff. Catch us around the UK from 1st Sep! See you soon.”

She will be hitting the boards alongside another former EastEnders star - Joe Absolom who is playing Ben, It's A Sin star Nathaniel Curtis as Sam, and Charlene Boyd as Lauren.
Jaime Winstone is the latest actress to play Jenny and will do so up until September.
Giovanna Fletcher and Lily Allen also previously took on the role before Cheryl’s surprise acting debut.
Louisa and her husband Ben welcomed daughter Aura at the end of 2021.

She is best known for playing Ruby Allen in EastEnders but left to have her baby while her character is currently in prison.
The star first appeared on the soap in 2005 for a year and then returned in 2018 up until her exit in 2021.
Speaking last year about her plans to return, she told The Sun: I’m not sure at the moment, everything is sort of up in the air.
"Not sure at the moment, I just don’t know.
"Now that I’ve had a baby, that’s the priority."
She recently launched her own clothing brand Aura Soul and did a short five day stint in The Vagina Monologues.
