Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson spotted working secret ‘normal job’ away from the cobbles
CORONATION Street legend Simon Gregson has been spotted working a 'normal job' away from the famous cobbles.
Simon, 48, has played Steve McDonald since 1989, but regularly helps out with a side hustle during breaks from filming.
The I'm A Celebrity...star was seen helping out at his wife Emma Gleave's Cheshire tearoom on Sunday.
Ever the dutiful hubby, the soap icon made himself useful as he lent a hand at the cafe - even carrying bottles of washing up liquid.
The star looked like any other worker as he went under the radar in a blue t-shirt and navy shorts, paired with a yellow baseball cap.
At one point, he took a break from his graft and puffed on a cigarette before returning to the job at hand.

Simon initially started to help out at the eaterie back in November after taking a break from the ITV soap when he broke his leg in six places.
During his extended sickness leave, he was regularly seen giving his missus some help around her business.
Simon's wife Emma took over a tearooms near to their home around the same time of his accident last October
And even though Simon returned to screens in April, it seems he still helps out in his downtime.
A source told The Sun: "Simon's been spotted helping out on a few occasions."
Simon’s former Corrie co-star Angela Lonsdale has previously shared a snap of her and Simon outside the tearooms.
Angela, who played Emma Watts on the soap from 2000 until 2004, praised the new business as a “hidden gem”.
