What happened to Tricia in Emmerdale?

TRICIA Dingle first arrived in Emmerdale 25 years ago and immediately grabbed the attention of the village men.

The character, who was played by actress Sheree Murphy, was the granddaughter of Alan Turner.

She worked at the Woolpack pub and quickly became a familiar sight behind the bar.

Tricia was a big hit with the local men of the Dales and had a number of flings with men.

She eventually met and fell in love with Marlon Dingle, who is played by Mark Charnock.

The pair were due to marry in October 2002 but a number of mishaps derailed their plans.

Marlon and Tricia eventually tied the knot on Valentines Day 2003.

But when she was offered a chance to star in a Bollywood movie, Marlon cheated while Tricia had left the village.

When she returned, he couldn't hide his guilt from her and admitted to having an affair with his distant cousin Charity Dingle.

Tricia was heartbroken and split with Marlon, who desperately tried to win her back.
