Kat Slater and Sharon Watts in vicious bust-up in EastEnders

WEDDING preparations have begun for four of Walford’s favourite ladies and Elaine Peacock takes charge.

But soon enough, Kat Slater and Sharon Watts are at each other’s throats in upcoming EastEnders scenes.

Whose nuptials will be going ahead without a hitch?

In recent months, four couples in Albert Square have decided to take their relationships to the next level.

Back in September, 2022, Kat Slater (portrayed by Jessie Wallace) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) both decided to postpone their wedding after a first drama-packed attempt at walking down the aisle.

At the time, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) had tried to interfere but Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) return to the Square allowed her to look forward to her own wedding as she asked for his hand in marriage earlier this year.

Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), on the other hand, was over the moon when Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) proposed, unaware it was all a misunderstanding.

But the former con man has kept to his word, ready to finally tie the knot with The Prince Albert owner.

Finally Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) was proposed to by her mysterious partner George Knight (Colin Salmon) but with their own plans on pause, she decides to be fairy godmother to Walford’s other brides next week on BBC One.

The Vic landlady has the idea of helping them organise their nuptials at her “Bride Club.”

Elaine hosts the first session of Bride Club, complete with Ravi Gulati’s hors d’oeuvres and blind wine tasting.

Unfortunately, things take a nasty turn between Walford’s biggest frenemies Kat and Sharon.

The sniping comments start flying thick and fast between both women, until one totally out-of-order remark prompts Sharon to quit the club and storm out.

Later on, Kat feels bad about driving Sharon out of Bride Club and decides to make amends by giving her fiancé Keanu some sage romance advice.

Keanu realises where he’s been going wrong, so goes all out to make it up to Sharon, who is thrilled by his renewed commitment to their wedding.

But could there be trouble ahead for the lovebirds?

A grisly flashforward recently aired on our screens teased an upcoming murder mystery which is due to unravel during the Christmas season.

The flashforward scene showed Sharon, surrounded by five more of the Square’s most iconic women including Kathy Beale, in a wedding dress and standing over an unnamed dead man.

Fans of the London-based drama have been scratching their heads when trying to figure out who could be the mystery victim – and Keanu happens to be on their list alongside Ravi and Nish Panesar.

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
