ITV viewers all had the same complaint about Davina McCall as a brand new episode of Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace aired.

In Monday night's show, a man left as a baby in a London phone box over 50 years ago discovered an extraordinary family history on the other side of the world.

Davina and fellow presenter Nicky Campbell returned to the ITV show as Chris, 55, was desperate to learn more about his family.

Chris was adopted and told how he had a fun and loving childhood.

The dad-of-two is now a successful engineer - however, he was desperate for information on his birth mother.

Long Lost Family's team got to work and eventually learned how Chris had three other siblings.

His mother was forced to return to the US but had to leave her newborn behind as her husband, who was not his father, would never have accepted him.

Davina was tasked with breaking the news to Chris that his mother had sadly died in 2008.

However, the team had successfully tracked down his father and siblings.

Following the revelations, Chris told Davina: “I wanted answers and you’ve given me them in truck loads!”

After learning about his Italian-born father, Dominic, 80, he revealed he was "dying to meet him".

But despite Chris getting to meet his long lost family, viewers were left frustrated by Davina's long pauses when she is revealing information about his mum.

Taking to social media, one said: "Jaysus Davina, tell the poor man about the family and feck off with the ridiculous pauses.....this isn't the results part of some crap reality show."

Another wrote: "I feel uncomfortable with the long silences Davina leaves, I know the person needs to process information but sometimes the silence is too long."

A third penned: "Why is Davina leaving long pauses like this? This guy looks so awkward. Just talk to him normally."

A fourth commented: "Davina seems a bit cruel dragging out info. She makes the whole awkward situation even more awkward."

Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace is available to stream on ITVX.
