EMMERDALE fans point out major blunder as Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas's engagement took a sour turn after a bombshell discovery.
The couple have been trying to sort a family holiday in recent days, and in last night's episode, Jai (Chris Bisson) thought he had secured an apartment in Croatia.
However, he quickly learned he had somehow booked the honeymoon suite instead, which was more expensive.
It planted a seed in Laurel's (Charlotte Bellamy) mind, and after some encouragement from her friend Nicola King, Laurel proposed to Jai.
It was a proposal to remember as Jai was getting irate with being put on hold as he tried to sort out the holiday blunder, and failed to pick up on what Laurel was trying to hint at when she told him to leave the booking as it is.
She ended up shouting: "Because we're going to be on honeymoon! Please try and understand what I'm asking you! Do you want to marry me?!"

Jai was clearly shocked but after she asked him properly, he kissed her and said yes.
The excited pair then went home to discuss how they were going to tell their children and wider family, before Laurel reminded Jai he needed to get his hands on his divorce papers from his marriage to Megan Macey.
Jai said he knew they were at dad Rishi's house, so headed over to get them.
Once in his old bedroom, he got the paperwork, but as he was leaving he knocked over another folder and a document caught his eye.

In the final moments of the show, he returned home to Laurel and she asked him if he had got what he needed.
A solemn Jai replied: "Yep and a whole lot more."
He then handed her the document and as she looked at it he said: "It's an adoption certificate...mine as it happens."
As Laurel looked shocked, he continued: "A notification of when I officially became the son of one Rishi Sharma, as in dad, who isn't apparently, my dad that is.
"My whole life has been a lie, because I'm adopted."
Despite being married twice and passing his drivers licence, Emmerdale viewers questioned how the businessman went so long without learning he was adopted.
One said: "These writers are buffoons, so has Jai never had a passport? #Emmerdale."
Another added: "How has Jai never needed his birth certificate before? He drives, and has a passport #emmerdale."

A third tweeted: "Wait, Rishi's not Jai's biological Dad after all really? But what about Georgia? Is she definitely his Mum? Also Jai's been married at least twice? Don't you need to provide your birth cert for something like that? Might be wrong? Anyone?."
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
