Gogglebox fans blast Channel 4 after latest celebrity signing
GOGGLEBOX fans have slammed an "odious" new signing for the celebrity series.
Channel 4 viewers took to Twitter to complain after ex Number 10 spin doctor Alastair Campbell, 66, revealed he was the latest star on the panel.
The former journalist-turned-strategist made the big Celebrity Gogglebox reveal with snap showing him of the sofa with daughter Grace.
Grace, 29, has carved a career in her own right as a comedienne and author.
Alastair took to his Twitter page to reveal: "If I was in two minds about doing @bbcquestiontime Brexit special last night I was in about two hundred minds about doing this one.
"But @GraceCampbell said it would be good for her 'brand.'

"Must be amazing to have a brand when one so young! #bulliedDad."
Fans were less than impressed, with one bluntly replying: "I feel nauseous."
Another put: "You have a brand Alastair, just it’s very tainted," as a third unkindly continued: "Odious little man."
One admitted: "I don’t celebrate these two."

Another then quizzed: "With your schedule do you have time to watch Tele?"
Some also flagged him as a "remoaner" in the Brexit debate while others questioned his links to Tony Blair and the Iraq war.
Yet others appeared excited by the new signing.
One wrote: "I love this! Grace is hilarious."
A second added: "If you’re doing Gogglebox you’ve finally arrived! All the rest was just prep."
Alastair previously issued a dizzying defence of ex PM Blair's role in the Iraq War.
Recently, Celebrity Gogglebox fans were left delighted as Sue Johnston and Ricky Tomlinson from The Royle Family were reunited on-screen.
Additionally, the popular show recently revealed two new signings - these being Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert.
Beverley and Adam are judges on ITV's Starstruck where teams of super fans transform into their idol for a very special performance.
