Love Island fans left stunned as show favourite gets axed in most gut-wrenching twist ever after Kady McDermott returns
LOVE Island viewers were screaming at their TV sets tonight after Molly Marsh was savagely dumped from the Majorcan villa.
The social media star, 21, was left dumbstruck when she read out her final text, before appearing to cry at the end of Friday’s episode.
Her exit followed the arrival of former series 2 star Kady McDermott.
Kady, 27, snuck into the villa shortly after the girls were sent off on a lavish spa day.
After a chat around the fireport three boys turned on their villa romances and said they were open to getting to know Kady.
Later that night, the Hertfordhire beauty was given the power to steal one of them from their couple.
In Love Island‘s most gut-wrenching twist ever, Kady received a text that instructed her to stand in front of the boys at the firepit.
And in scenes that floored fans she picked basketball player Zach Noble, 25, which left devastasted Molly single.
Having picked Zach, Molly also received a text which informed her she was single and “therefore have been dumped from the island”.
Fans were in disbelief, and one said on Twitter: “Molly is coming back bro u cant trick meeee.”
Another echoed: “Don’t be silly, Molly is definitely not going home.”
And a third said: “I have a feeling it’s not over.. watch them put Molly in a hideaway or something..”
Kady first entered the villa as a bombshell during series two.
She last competed on the show in 2016, finishing in third place with Scott Thomas.
Speaking ahead of her dramatic re-entry, Kady said she was still a “fiery pocket rocket” but was now looking for someone to start a family with.
“Not many people can say they’ve been on Love Island, let alone have done it twice,” she said.
“I think I’m known from season 2 for being so chaotic. People always ask, ‘Do you have regrets?’ expecting me to say yes, but I was so true to myself and I was 100% authentic.
“I’ll still be like that now, but seven years on, I am more mature. I’m still the fiery pocket rocket but I know what I want and what I don’t want.”
On the type of partner she was looking for during her return to the dating show, she said: “The next person I’m with, I want that to be marriage and babies.
“I don’t want to waste any more time with the wrong people – so I think I’ll be a lot pickier than what I was when I was previously in the Villa.”
Love Island continues on Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
