Love Island fans cheer Islander as he ‘puts Sammy Root in his place’ in new feud
LOVE Island fans have applauded one of the islanders for 'putting Sammy Root in his place' following the latest villa twist.
Scott Van Der Sluis, 22, was cheered on by viewers as he fumed over Sammy's comments about him and Catherine Agbaje, also 22.
Sammy, 22, had accused Scott and Catherine of not being 'compatible' in the latest islanders' vote around the firepit.
And professional goalkeeper Scott was seriously unimpressed.
Speaking to his guy pals while Sammy was off on a date with new bombshell Mal Nicol, Scott raged: "Catherine was the first person that I pulled. How does he not see these things in his head?
"When Sammy comes in I'm not going to back down and I'll tell him exactly how it is. If it's a home truth, I'll tell him."

In the Beach Hut, he continued his rant.
Scott said: "Sammy coming across with, 'I'm not physically attracted to Catherine and that we don't have that physical touch' - whilst I'm holding her hand.
"It's just a load of s***! I don't get where he's coming from with it. And I think Catherine's going to hold him for account there for what he's said and so she should."
Scott later confronted Sammy once he was back in the villa.
Sammy, meanwhile, refused to back down but did tell him: "At the end of the day, if I'm wrong then I'll hold my hands up."
Taking to Twitter, fans were in support of Scott for calling Sammy out on his comment.
One tweeted: "Scott putting Sammy together and finding loopholes in his arguments. I love a man that stands from a woman."
Another said: "Yesss Scott!! Put Sammy in his place!!"
A third added: "I love that Scott is checking Sammy."
And someone else chimed in: "Scott CLEARING Sammy is something I’ve wanted to see! And defending Catherine at the same time?? What a man."
Later in Wednesday night's show, Catherine also spoke to Sammy and demanded to know why he said she and Scott weren't physically attracted to each other.
She even ended up in tears as her emotions got the better of her. Sammy later apologised to Catherine for making her cry.
