VERA star Brenda Blethyn has revealed the ITV drama's 'best kept secret' after 12 years.
The hugely popular ITV show, which sees the actress play the lead role, is beloved amongst fans.
It's been on air now for 12 series with another instalment currently in production and due to hit screens in January.
And now Brenda, 77, has revealed the best kept secret of the show - where it's filmed in the Northeast.
"Yeah, I'd never been there before [Vera] and I love it there," she told the James Whale Show.
"It's the best-kept secret and it's absolutely... The territory is beautiful, but the people are nice too. I really like them!"

The actress, who is best known as Detective Vera Stanhope, revealed her house in the show is located Holy Island in Lindisfarne.
ITV previously dropped a first look at Brenda Blethyn's epic Vera return as filming on series 13 kicked off.
Filming has officially kicked off in the North East as David Leon character's Joe Ashworth also coming back.
ITV has also teased how DCI Vera Stanhope and her investigative team will be called to a country lane in the first episode as a young man is found dead.

The victim, who is a popular market trader, appears to have been hit by a car as the investigation kicks off.
Joining Vera's team for the 13th series is Jon Morrison as DC Kenny Lockhart, Riley Jones as DC Mark Edwards, Sarah Kameela Impey as Pathologist Dr. Paula Bennett.
