After drugging her tea, Stephen left to buy a load. But when he returned Stephen walked back in and wasn’t shocked to see Elaine unconscious on the floor.

However instead of helping her he simply put the loaf down and walked out and went to Roy’s Rolls.

Sitting inside Stephen pretended to be busy hoping enough time would pass for Elaine to die.

Unfortunately for him, Elaine managed to come to and reach for her phone and summon Sally for help.

By the time Stephen left the cafe, he spotted Elaine being loaded into the ambulance.

At the hospital as Tim questioned him about what happened, Stephen insisted he had just popped out to get a loaf and found the ambulance when he returned.

However when Stephen and Tim went to the flat to get Elaine some things, Tim absentmindedly picked up the loaf to move it.

And later Tim couldn’t shake the feeling he was missing something and that Stephen was lying.
