DAWN French has sent Vicar of Dibley fans wild after she transformed into Geraldine Granger for "FUNeral".

The actress has reprised her role to commemorate the life of cancer awareness organisation founder Kris Hallenga.

Dawn, 65 took to Instagram Wednesday and shared a photo of herself with CoppaFeel! founder Kris, 37, who is currently battling stage 4 breast cancer.

The star looked stunning in her renowned character's costume, which she accessorised with a lime green shawl with a large red heart on the bottom.

Kris was dressed in a silver glittering jumpsuit with a black sequin blazer and vivid feather cuffs.

Another photo showed Dawn delivering the eulogy.

She captioned the post: "Ok, now that How to glitter a turd has posted, I can tell you it was my privilege & joy to Dibley it up at her FUNeral on Sat."

"She wanted to host the best possible party. She did. It was phenomenal. So much love filling @trurocathedral.

‘It was her own festival celebrating an extraordinary life. What a total babe.’

Kris described the experience as the "greatest day" of her life after.

She penned: "I’ve never felt love like it. I’ve never felt joy like it. I’ve never felt such kinship with mortality. I’ve never felt so alive,’ she wrote."
