Huge Big Brother star returns for ITV reboot – and fans will be delighted
THE man whose voice became synonymous with Big Brother is returning for the ITV reboot.
I can reveal that Marcus Bentley has signed up to be the narrator for the ultimate reality TV contest when it is back on our screens.
His Tyneside tones were heard describing the action from the first series in 2000 on Channel 4, right up to the final episode on Channel 5 in 2018.
A TV insider said: "It's long been rumoured that he was returning to the show, though many dismissed it as wishful thinking.
"But now it's a done deal between Marcus and the producers and fans are likely to be delighted.
"After all, his voice was an essential part of the whole Big Brother experience, and his return will add to the reboot's authenticity."

I can also reveal that the show, which will be presented by Will Best and AJ Odudu, will bring back the famous live feed which meant that viewers never had to miss a second of all the action.
The long-awaited reboot is set to air this autumn.
