Strictly star bags outrageous new reality show after quitting BBC programme

IF you thought that Rylan Clark's life would be lacking high jinks after he quit Strictly and wrapped filming on this year’s Eurovision, then think again.

I can reveal that fresh from his song contest work with the BBC in Liverpool, Rylan has started work on a fun and frisky new reality show for Prime Video.

The host is filming the as-yet-unnamed programme right now in Greece.

It will follow a group of young British people as they try to run a bar on the party island of Zante.

A TV source said: “This show could not be more perfect for Rylan.

“He’s been really picky about signing up to host a new reality show after Big Brother but this is just ideal.

“It’s fun, sexy and has got a cast who are all up for a laugh. As well as working together to set up the bar, the group all live together.

“So while this isn’t a dating show, it would be unrealistic to expect these youngsters not to indulge in a little fun in the sun.”

Rylan has posted a range of sunshine photos on his Instagram, including from a ride on a speedboat.

Fans believed he was taking a well-deserved break after the madness of Eurovision last month.

Instead, he has been secretly filming the new show.

A source said: “Rylan is so excited about this project and it’s come at a perfect time for him.

“Everyone wondered what he’d get up to after quitting It Takes Two.”

The show will launch on Prime Video next year.

When Rylan announced he was leaving Strictly’s spin-off in April, viewers felt it must be because ITVX had signed him up as host of its Big Brother reboot.

But he insisted he just wanted to “sit indoors in his pyjamas” for a bit . . .  and some swimming trunks, by the looks of it.

GC & an RR

THE only way is in a Rolls-Royce for Gemma Collins as she heads out for Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The GC was joined by her friend, TV and radio presenter Melvin Odoom, to film for the new series of the BBC Two show that will air later this year.

And of course, they headed to the former Towie star’s home county of Essex to delve for treasures.

On The road trip, celebrities are paired with experts in classic cars and challenged to find antiques to sell at auction.

Fred pee outside? Oui, Oui

FIRST Dates’ Fred Sirieix is taking extreme measures to help protect the environment – by weeing outside so he can avoid flushing the loo.

The Channel 4 show’s maitre d’ admits he drives partner Fruitcake mad with his unconventional peeing habits.

Frenchman Fred said: “I want to save the planet! Seriously, seven litres of water every time you have a pee?

“Do you know how many times I go to the toilet to have a pee? It’s crazy! I do [wee in the garden] sometimes.

“In the evening, especially, because I go out and look at the stars. I just enjoy the universe and then I have a pee, it’s nice.”

Let’s just hope Fred’s neighbours keep their curtains shut.

Quest's aid for chef

MICHEL Roux Jr says his new cooking show Five Star Kitchen: Britain’s Next Great Chef will help identify world-class culinary talents who need a boost.

The six-part Channel 4 series, which launches next Thursday, will see chefs battle for the chance to run their own restaurant in posh London hotel The Langham.

Michel says inflation means talented cooks’ venues are going bust.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun’s TV Mag, out tomorrow, he said: “To be a successful business, you have to make a profit. Our industry is littered with geniuses that can’t make ends meet.

“You see chefs using luxury ingredients and not understand waste is money.

“Before you know it, the business has gone bust.”

Let’s hope his Five Star Kitchen can help.

Lucy: My fears of trolling

A FACE-off with Phil Mitchell would leave many of us trembling – but it’s the thought of social media backlashes that has soap returner Lucy Benjamin worried most.

Her character Lisa Fowler is back on EastEnders after fleeing Albert Square 20 years ago when she shot down Phil.

But as Lucy prepares for her scenes to air tonight, she has confessed it’s having to face the soap’s trolls that is hard.

She told the Soap From The Box podcast: “It’s a different beast these days.

“I’m so pleased that when I was doing the show before, we didn’t have social media pressure. I might come off it. You’ve got to be strong for that.”

Lucy briefly returned in 2019 to help her daughter escape after Keanu Taylor, played by Danny Walters, was shot.
