MUSCLE man Zack George is riding high as one of the members of the stellar line-up of Gladiators.

The CrossFit fanatic takes on the alter ego of Steel, and has an impressive career when it comes to fitness.

Who is Zack George?

Zack George has swapped his usual CrossFit to take part in the BBC reboot of Gladiators.

He is part of the all-new cast as he takes on his new alter ego of Steel.

Zack was first motivated to help people with their fitness after undertaking his own personal fitness journey as a teenager.

He hopes that he can inspire a new, young generation of fans to get into fitness as well.

Talking about his role on Gladiators, Zack said: “I was inspired by the Gladiators as a child, but never imagined I’d be physically fit enough to be considered a ‘superhuman’!

“I hope a new generation of fans will look up to me as their new strong, unbreakable hero, Steel.”

But Zack hasn’t always been so body confident and he has talked about struggling with confidence when he was a child.

Zack has opened up about his past addiction to fast food, which saw him change his life dramatically for the better.

He said: “My dad could tell I was quite unhappy, I used to try and skip swimming lessons because I was so self-conscious of how I looked and didn’t take my top off.”

Steel added to : “I used to have McDonald’s and KFC three or four times a week, it was a really unhealthy lifestyle.”

He said he was just 12 when he made the decision to get fitter and, with the support of his parents, sparked the journey that led to him becoming one of the new Gladiators.

Steel continued: “Without saying it, they came on the journey with me, we all cleaned up our diet, we didn’t have chocolate or sweets in the house.

“It’s crazy looking back because when I was younger and overweight, I used to watch Gladiators and draw a pretend six pack on my stomach, because I could never think about ever having abs.”

When did Zack George win the title of UK’s Fittest Man?

UK CrossFit star, Zack, won the title of the UK’s Fittest Man in 2020, and also ranked number 26 out of 126,461 on the global CrossFit leader board.

He confirmed his new job during an appearance on The One Show.

He said he was excited to follow in the footsteps of legends like Wolf and Hunter.

Zack said: “The old series was absolutely huge.

“I remember pretty much every family watching the show on a Saturday night.

“We have some great new games, as well as the old classics.

“And some amazing costumes which we are looking forward to wearing.”

What age is Zack George?

Zack was born on July 13, 1990, making him 33-years-old as of June 2023.

The muscle-man ‘s stats see him weighs in at 223lb.

Zack also stands at six foot tall.
