PAUL Foreman has taken centre stage on the Coronation Street cobbles thanks to his heartbreaking storyline.
He is currently suffering from motor neurone disease (MND) and has recently told his family and friends all about his diagnosis.
Is Paul leaving Coronation Street?
Paul will be departing the ITV soap opera at the end of his current storyline.
ITV have yet to publicly confirm details of when Paul's departure will air and just exactly how it will happen.
It is thought to be later on in the year.
When did Paul discover his illness?
Paul discovered he was suffering from the condition after visiting the hospital after a road accident where he was knocked over by Carla Connor.

He was later shocked to be hit with his diagnosis out of the blue.
After being informed he was dying and therefore too ill to work, Paul went into financial despair and eventually got involved in criminal activity in a bid to earn some cash quick.
However, the police caught up with him and he was arrested and charged with car theft and he eventually revealed the real reason why to best friend and former flatmate Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).
Paul also told the truth to Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) who had helped to cover for him with his crimes but he refused to tell his family or partner Billy.

His condition began to deteriorate and he began to limp after loosing control of his foot.
Dee Dee urged him to tell his family but he refused and cancelled his plans to walk Gemma down the aisle at her wedding owing to his illness.
Soon, Billy discovered the truth and was left aghast at Paul's condition.
Paul then broke down at his sister's wedding, where he told her of his illness with their mum Bernie overhearing the conversation.
Who plays Paul Foreman?
Paul is played by Mancunian actor Peter Ash.
Peter's cousin, William, is also a soap star. He currently plays Caleb Milligan in rival soap Emmerdale.
He has had a varied career but has worked in television and theatre for the last 20 years.
His first on-screen TV appearance was in 2003 in the drama Blue Murder.
He later began appearing in Casualty on a recurring basis as Keith Jowell, which he played for six episodes.
