Ranvir - who is a Good Morning Britain reporter - is standing in for Lorraine Kelly, 63, to front her flagship chat show during the half-term break.

She introduced Dr Amir Khan for a segment about a new tablet set to prevent migraines and admitted: "It would be remarkable.

"Dr Amir joins me now, I have suffered from migraines and there's just no getting away from it.

"It is paralysing.

"So what is this new tablet all about?"

Dr Amir went on to describe how the drug rimegepant has been approved for use on the NHS.

He added how the "wafer" tablet dissolves on sufferers' tongues and is now available to those who get between four and 50 migraines a month - if they have tried alternative treatments.

Ranvir continued: "If you've never had a migraine you have no idea.

"It's nothing like a headache is it.

"People think they are the same thing but they're really not - it's great news actually."

Migraines are worse than a bad headache and require specific treatment to try and stop them from getting too bad.

There are four stages of a migraine - prodrome, aura, headache and post-drome.

Often the only way to get rid of a migraine is to take painkillers and sleep it off.

Sufferers normally rest up in a dark room until it passes - which can be up to 72 hours.

Medicines used to prevent migraines include the anti-seizure medicine topiramate and a medicine called propranolol that's usually used to treat .

Meanwhile, on yesterday's show, Ranvir was forced to flag a hugely "awkward" moment with her This Morning colleagues.

She was also recently at the heart of an off-camera "blunder" with Richard Madeley.
