End of an Emmerdale era as Moira Dingle makes a shock announcement
AFTER experiencing some financial issues, Moira Dingle made the decision to sell her farm.
Next week in Emmerdale, the character played by Natalie J. Robb kicks off a brand new chapter with a big announcement.
Moira has been at the head of Butler's Farm since 2009 and despite a few mishaps along her journey, she's managed to keep her business afloat.
Sadly, this all recently changed when Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), unbeknownst to her, interfered with the meat she was selling.
At the time, Moira was cash-strapped and couldn't afford for her farm to sink but she was slowly running out of options.
Caleb eventually convinced her to sell her farm away to Kim Tate (Claire King) and a devastated Moira, believing her hands were tied, accepted.
More Emmerdale
In scenes airing next week on ITV, Moira surprises her husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) with the news that they have sold the cattle, meaning that their farm life has come to an end.
With Cain initially opposed to Moira's intention to sell, could his reaction escalate into an argument?
Diehard fans of the Yorkshire-based drama will perhaps remember that Moira once owned 84% of Butler's, alongside Pete and Ross Barton who each owned 8% of the business.
But when she encountered financial hurdles, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) decided to help Moira by buying half of her shares (42%) of the farm.
The 157-acre property has had its fair share of different owners since it was first built in 1800.

Originally the home of Wilf Butler, who was last seen in the Dales in 2003, Andy Sugden eventually took over the farm with Katie Addyman.
Andy suffered a mental breakdown and was convinced to hand over the tenancy to Moira who, at the time, was married to John Barton.
The pair moved in with their children and Moira remained there ever since, despite her family's troubled history.
Will she really let go of the farm?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
