His ex made a series of claims against him

Quizzed by The Sun today on the claims made by his furious ex, George said:  “I want to be respectful towards her because I understand that she isn't in the public eye, I don't want to name any names but I know who you are talking about.

“That isn't an accusation that reflects me at all, I couldn't be any further from that accusation and I feel quite upset about that accusation.

"But at the end of the day I've just got to move forward now and ultimately go into the villa and prove that isn't the George that's been painted a picture of, that isn't me, that would never be me.

“I really can't think of anything worse than being something like that.”

His former girlfriend shared a video on TikTok last year which featured series of pictures of herself and George with different captions.

In one she has labelled him a cheat, another she brands him a narcissist and in the next she wrote: “Controlling over what she wore and put down her appearance.”

Alongside a further image she claimed: “Begged her for money and never offer to pick up/split the bill.”

She continued: “Constantly lied to others and made empty promises” and said he has “low standards because he’s insecure”.

Asked why she might have said that, George said: “I feel like ultimately  wasn't happy in the relationship.

"I didn't wish to continue with the relationship and I want to be respectful but I suppose she wasn't quite happy with the outcome but at the end of the day I was only doing what was best for me in that scenario, my feelings matter as well as hers.

“Ultimately I can't control what happens with her situation.

“I'm not this person that's been painted a picture of, I'm a nice, funny guy with terrible dad jokes.”

His comments come after he was forced to explain a series of resurfaced homophobic tweets.

The upsetting tweets were written back in 2014, when he would have been 15 years old.

The account has now been deleted, but their contents have since been widely circulated.
