- Love Island bosses make major changes to show to protect stars

GEORGE FENSOM is aiming to change his way with girls as he embarks on his Love Island adventure in the new villa in Majorca.

It comes as his girlfiend accused him of being "a cheater and a liar" to which he responded: "That isn't an accusation that reflects me at all, I couldn't be any further from that accusation and I feel quite upset about that accusation."

Fans also hit out at George over his homophobic tweets from 2014 that he feels "absolutely sick about" and added: "They are not who I am today, they couldn't be any further from the man I am today and - quite frankly - if I could turn back time I wouldn't even have put those."

However, as he enters the Love Island villa George aims to act differently as he explained: "I’ve put myself first in relationships before and it didn’t end well, so I’m looking to focus and give 100% of my time and care to someone.

"I want to settle down, I’m getting old. I prefer a girl who is naturally good looking, and someone who has even more banter than me – although I don’t believe that’s physically possible."

  • Simon Rimmer’s daughter rejected Love Island

Sunday Brunch star Simon Rimmer revealed that his daughter Flo rejected Love Island for “objectifying women” and called the ITV2 reality show “cruel.”

He explained: “My daughter got invited to go on it. Basically, they picked her up from Instagram because she has quite a big following because she has done stuff with me online and she turned it down.

“She’s very much not a Love Island kind of person. But I thought it was a weird approach really. She is so not a Love Island person. I wouldn’t say it would be my dream job for her.

“But if she decided to do it she would do it for the right reasons, she wouldn’t do it to find love she would be like ‘you know what, this could be a career opportunity,’ she’s quite savvy so she would do it for those reasons rather than thinking, ‘I’m going to find love,’ but I don’t think any of them really think that do they?” he told MailOnline.

He continued: “I don’t think it’s what I want young people to be doing and how I want males to behave or the way females to behave. It feels a bit weird that we’re still having girls being treated like objects and I don’t like that objectification.

“As a father of a daughter I don’t think I would want… I don’t want my son to behave in a way like that towards women and I don’t want my daughter to be treated that way by men.”

  • Love Island contestant breaks silence on homophobic tweets

Love Island 2023 hopeful George Fensom has apologized to fans after a series of homophobic tweets he made in the past resurfaced.

George, who is set to enter the villa on Monday, has since deleted the tweets but shared a statement apologising to fans after viewers called for him to be axed from the Love Island lineup.

He said: “I honestly just feel absolutely sick about those tweets. They are not who I am today, they couldn’t be any further from the man I am today and, quite frankly, if I could turn back time I wouldn’t even have put those [online].

“To be honest with you, it’s me being really naive at that age. I made the account back in 2011, so it’s just stupidity on my behalf and doesn’t reflect on who I am today at all.”

The tweets were made in 2014, meaning George would have been a teenager at the time.

  • Where is the old Love Island villa?

The previous villa – which was used from 2017 until 2021 – is also in Majorca, and can be found in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar on the East of the Island.

"For my A-Levels, I did maths, law, psychology and English language. I'm not just a pretty face, I do have a brain," she told fans on her YouTube channel.

"I worked very hard, I can't believe I chose maths. I just remember choosing it because my older brother and sister did maths and they are both very clever.

"I'd say I'm clever but I'm not as clever as them, it doesn't come to me as naturally and I do get quite distracted, so I don't like sitting down memorising stuff for tests. Tests were never for me, I was much more creative."
