I’m battling cancer and a chronic health condition but I’ll turn it into a positive to help save others, says Amy Dowden
AMY Dowden has insisted she's determined to turn her cancer battle into a positive in order to save others.
The Strictly pro dancer, 32, revealed yesterday that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Additionally Amy has had chronic gut condition Crohn's Disease since she was a child - and has already used her experience with it to make a difference.
She said: "I've been through quite a lot in my life and this is another hurdle."
Amy previously made a BBC documentary titled Strictly Amy: Crohn's and Me and she's planning on raising just as much awareness for breast cancer.
Speaking to , she continued: "With what I've done for Crohn’s, I want to do the same here.

"If I can try and turn this negative into a positive, it's going to help me get through this."
Yesterday Amy took to Instagram to share her heartbreaking news.
She wrote: "Hey all, I've got some news which isn't easy to share.
"I've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer but I'm determined to get back on that dance floor before you know it. 💖."

Fellow judge Motsi Mabuse said: "We love you amy , sending all my love and will definitely keep you in my prayers ❤️❤️."
