EastEnders boss drops huge clue about the Knight family in the Christmas murder flashforward

EastEnders chief Chris Clenshaw has dropped a huge clue as to how the Knight family were 'secretly included' in the soap's epic Christmas flash forward.

They are the new family on the block and are sure to whip up a storm during their time in Walford.

However, speculation still stands around just exactly what they will be getting up to and whose paths they will cross on Albert Square.

It has raised discussion around weather the family, the new owners of the Queen Vic, will have a part in the BBC's heavily teased Christmas Day episode.

Viewers saw a preview of the episode earlier this year where six of Walford's women were left shook when a death appeared to have rocked the pub.

Now, show boss Chris Clenshaw has teased how the use of props in the episode helped to foreshadow the arrival of the family.

Fans will remember a series of classic knights featuring on the show's set.

Chris said: "Now the knight in shining armour makes sense to everyone.

"When we shot that scene the Knights weren’t in scripts so everyone was speculating."

Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter and took part in the filming on the special episode, added: "I walked onto set and there was this bloody knight, what’s that doing here? Something to do with the new family."

The new family consists of Linda's mum Elaine Peacock with Harriet Thorpe taking over the role of Maria Feldman.

She is joined by Colin Salmon as her partner George along with Strictly star and singer Molly Rainford as Anna Knight and her sister, Gina, played by Francesca Henry.
