VIEWERS of the BBC's latest dating show were left in tears as one contestant got personal and opened up on a life-changing medical diagnosis.
Mikey Connor, from Liverpool, was left emotional as he opened up on his "scary" experience with cancer on BBC Three's I Kissed a Boy.
The star bravely opened up about discovering he had testicular cancer in a chat with two of his co-stars.
Mikey said: “A while ago, I found a lump down below, in my left ball. I left, left it, left it.
"Then I was getting pains and all that and went to the doctor.
"I had to get scans and all that, and they told me: ‘We need to test you for testicular cancer.’ I was like: ‘Yeah, cool’.

"But the only way for them to do that was actually to remove the testicle.”
As the heartbreaking conversation continued, Mikey told Kailum and Gareth that he did in fact have cancer.
He added: “So, I got it removed and got it tested and it did actually come back as cancer.
"But you think, if I had just left that how far down the line would it have actually gone.

"When you kind of get a scare, you never actually think it's going to happen to you.
"It's still that mad thought to think, 'F***king hell, I've actually had cancer and God knows how long I've actually had it for."
Reflecting back on opening up to his co-stars on the UK's first gay dating show, Mikey told his followers on Instagram: "Having said this today, I am happy, I am cancer free and now taking to life and making every opportunity count."
The show's host Dannii Minogue praised him for being so vulnerable on the show.
Dannii commented on his Instagram post: "Mikey thank you for being so honest and open. It is appreciated by so many. And well done for completing all your treatment."
Fans were left emotional at the scenes as one said: "I shed a tear cause I could imagine the fear."
Another told Mikey: "Your an inspiration Mikey."
As a third added: "That was emotional to watch."
So far on the show, Mikey has found himself with a number of options having enjoyed the most dates in the Italian massaria.
He began the programme single before coupling up with Josh despite enjoying a smooch with Bobski and a date with Ben.
