ITV Coronation Street fans rip into ‘stupid’ Craig and Faye blackmail plot that ‘makes no sense’
CORONATION Street fans point out major blunder as Craig Tinker blackmails Faye Windass.
ITV viewers were left stunned after Craig (Colson Smith) told Faye (Ellie Leach) that he will go to the police about her involvement in the hit and run last year if she leaves him for Jackson.
The copper was left devastated when he discovered his fiancée had shared a kiss with her ex and father of her daughter, Jackson Hodge (Joseph William Evans).
Confronting Faye about her betrayal, a fuming Craig said: "How could you do this to me after all I did to protect you?"
When Faye asked what he meant, he continued: "You know very well, what I did. You could've gone to prison with all that means for an ex-copper, and I still took that chance.
"All to keep you safe. Because I love you that much. And you go and snog your ex at the first chance you get. How stupid am I?

"I feel like going down to the station right now and telling them everything."
Faye then realised she couldn't leave Weatherfield to be with Jackson and Miley because Craig would send her to prison.
However, fans were left confused as Craig would be incriminating himself if he told the police about the hit and run.
Viewers know that Craig went back to the scene of the crime in Ted's flat to remove Faye's finger nail - which would have been evidence she was there when Ted died.

Taking to Twitter, fans pointed out Craig's career would be completely over if he came clean.
One said: "Craig wouldn't blab he'd be putting his new promotion on the line otherwise."
Another wrote: "Stupid storyline. If Craig told the police his career would be finished ffs."
A third penned: "Craig 100% won't say anything. If he did he'd be incriminating himself."
A fourth added: "This makes no sense, he would be in prison himself if he told."
Last month it was announced that the popular soap star, 22, who plays Faye Windass, is leaving the show after 12 years.
Ellie has tackled some gritty storyline on the cobbles, including teen pregnancy, early menopause and was even sent to prison for attacking a neighbour.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, Ellie opened up about her time in the Manchester-based soap as "the best years" of her life.
"It's been the best experience. I can't thank everyone here enough. Everyone's always made me feel so welcome. It's just been so lovely. I've honestly loved it. It's been the best years of my life."
