EASTENDERS fans were left in shock last night as an all-new family moved into the legendary Queen Vic.

Thursday's episode of the hit soap saw Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford make her EastEnders debut alongside her on-screen family the Knights.

The Strictly star was joined by her on-screen dad George Knight, played by Colin Salmon, and her sister Gina (Francesca Henry).

But not all fans were impressed by the new family's introduction, with some feeling show bosses moved on from the tragic death of Lola Pearce too quickly.

One fan wrote: "George has only been in it five minutes and he's helped reunite Ben and Lexi." While second added: "George walking around like he's the king of Walford."

She said: “We’ve come from Marbella, grown up quickly. She’s excited to explore the new eye candy on the Square rather than look for something too serious too soon, just excited to be there.”

Co-star Francesca had a more carefree approach when asked who her character Gina would be setting her eyes on in Walford.

Joking, she said: “Anything with a pulse.”

  • Honey Mitchell takes desperate action for Billy Mitchell

Lola Pearce is living her last moments in Albert Square and her loved ones are saying their last goodbyes.

Unfortunately, Billy Mitchell was thrown behind bars. Tonight in EastEnders, Honey goes above and beyond to get him released.

Time is quickly running out for Lola Pearce (portrayed by Danielle Harold) as her brain tumour takes over.

But during last night's trip to Walford, her grandfather Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) spiralled out of control and got himself arrested after an altercation at the Minute Mart with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).

The argument also caused the market trader to accidentally strike Albert Square copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

Tonight on BBC One, Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) is desperately trying to get Billy released as she's fully aware he may have no more time left to say goodbye to Lola.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) accompanies Honey to the police station where they both demand Billy's release.

Sadly, Jack tells them that it can only happen if Nish withdraws his witness statement and doesn't press charges.

  • Lola Pearce’s death in EastEnders will have ‘devastating consequences’

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has teased which characters "won't be the same" after Lola Pearce-Brown tragically dies of a brain tumour.

Lola, played by Danielle Harold, will die at home after her battle with a brain tumour, leaving her family and friends devastated.

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has revealed the fallout of Lola's death for her loved ones who "won't be the same" after their loss.

Chris said: "They all pull together and are there for each other in the immediate future, but that won’t last forever.

"Jay will find friendship with another key person. Lexi, she has three dads now!"

"I don’t think any of them will be. Billy, Jay, Lexi, Ben, Honey, it’ll obviously have devastating consequences for the family.

"Lola has been in this position where she’s become aware of what’s ahead, so she’s given some certain requests to the family.

"She’s asked Jay to make sure that he always talks to Lexi about her, she’s put things in place for the immediate future.

"But that may not last forever. It’ll be a difficult process and obviously it’s a sad ending for Lola, she won’t be there for the rest of her family."

Steve usually appears in panto and so he is no stranger to the festive tradition.

The 64 year old actor will be appearing in the Grove Theatre's production of Jack and the Beanstalk this December.

As is usually the case, Steve will be appearing in the show over the Christmas period and therefore Phil will barely be away from screens and so EastEnders fans need not be disappointed.

According to her, the unknown woman walked out on George and the family nine years prior to their arrival in the Square and she never looked back.

Could this be confirmation that George Knight's missing wife may be Cindy Beale?

  • Amy Mitchell star Ellie Dadd looks very different to her onscreen character

Ellie Dadd looked very different to her onscreen character as she enjoyed a day out in London.

The actress - who plays Amy Mitchell on the BBC One soap -looked chic in an all-black ensemble with a leather jacket draped on her shoulders.
