Ben Mitchell is struggling with the thought of losing Lola Pearce to a terminal brain tumour.

Accepting Lola’s tragic fate has been no easy feat for her loved ones, but Ben (played by Max Bowden) is failing to keep his emotions in check.

In recent scenes, Ben was adamant it was too early for Lola to return home following her hospital stay.

The hairstylist only has weeks to live and her loved ones have been hellbent on making as many happy memories with her as possible.

Ben, on the other hand, lashed out at Honey (Emma Barton) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) accusing the family of accepting Lola’s prognosis too easily.

Lola’s husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) had none of Ben’s outburst and confronted him at The Arches, which left the troublemaker furious.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) also stepped in to speak to Ben about his mother, Peggy, and he told his son to stop being selfish.

  • Fans slam Ben Mitchell for making Lola Pearce’s death all about him

One wrote: "Imagine barging into a house that isn’t yours, prodding a dying woman awake to shout and rant and rave over her deathbed over what YOU want & not what SHE wants until you make her cry & then accusing her family of not giving a crap."

A second said: "Go on Billy lacing into Ben 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. What a spiteful ungrateful **** Ben is. Lola's family have done everything they can for her there is nothing more they can do. 😡😡😡. Ben needs to get serious professional  help and needs to focus on being there for Lexi."

Another added: "Jay is right -- Ben needed those harsh home truths 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Ben is being incredibly selfish right now. 😡😡 #EastEnders."

The Sun exclusively revealed that Michelle Collins' character will return from the dead along with ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) as part of a bombshell new plot to shake up EastEnders.

The two returning faces will have lots of explaining to do upon their return to Walford with Cindy believed to have died in child birth more than 20 years ago.

Fans have already begun to speculate on just what Cindy will get up to when she touches back down in the East End.

Many have theorised that she will seek revenge on Bobby Beale after he brutally killed her daughter Cindy as part of the soap's epic Who Killed Lucy Beale? plot.

Writing online, one fan suggested Bobby would need to protect himself from the wrath of Cindy as they wrote: "Bobby Beale best get that hockey stick out if Cindy returns."

  • I was in EastEnders’ most controversial storyline with my brother… he became a huge star but I love my normal job

They might have pitched up on Albert Square in an ice cream van, but the Miller family was anything but vanilla.

While Shana is still acting - having had roles on Doctors, Top Boy and My Feral Heart, which bagged her a British Independent Film Awards Best Supporting Actress nomination - and stars in an upcoming film, she also has a more 'normal' job.

The 32-year-old tells us she runs a pop-up coffee shop, named Swash & Jones, from a trailer in Islington, north London - and is "loving every minute of it".

She says: “I really fell in love with coffee and lockdown gave me the push to get out of my comfort zone and start my own business.

“Honestly, I’ve loved every minute of it. There’s only me, I run it full-time on a day-to-day basis and am your local barista in a park near to where I grew up.

“It’s allowed me to meet loads of people, like the really die-hard EastEnders fans, and become friends with them too.

“I’ve only been open for a year-and-a-half but I want to expand," she says.

"I’d love us to be a brand that people recognise so watch this space. Hopefully we’ll be taking over… Starbucks who?”
