BBC confirms fate of beloved comedy starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen
THE BBC has confirmed the fate of a much-loved drama starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
The broadcaster has teased an update on the pair's lockdown comedy, Staged.
The BBC has now revealed that Staged has been renewed for a third series, which will be “coming soon” to both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
A specific date has not yet been confirmed yet fans will no doubt be left delighted by the news.
The show, fronted by David and Michael, tells the tale of two West End actors left without work in lockdown.
Series two of Staged also sees the pair attempt to navigate their ‘new normal' at home with their increasingly exasperated families.

At the same time, the dynamic duo are also trying to tackle the world of ‘virtual Hollywood’ and their very fragile egos.
In series two, new cast members included Primetime Emmy winner Ben Schwartz, who played the assistant to Michael and David’s American agent.
The likes of Judi Dench and Samuel L Jackson made surprise appearances in series one while season two The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons surprised fans.
The show hopes to capture our shared feelings of frustration and confusion at a world not quite ready to re-open.

The third series has already aired on Britbox.
