LOOSE Women’s Carol McGiffin has taken a huge swipe at ‘rude’ Phillip Schofield, while demanding he quits This Morning as soon as possible.
The presenters of This Morning - Holly Willoughby and Phillip - have seen their once-close relationship crumble in recent weeks, with many calling for Phillip to be axed from the embattled daytime show.
And Carol seemed to be in agreement, as the 63-year-old aired her views about Phillip.
During an interview today, she commented on whether Phillip will be given the boot from This Morning, after a source told The Sun that “This Morning is preparing for some seismic changes this summer.”
Carol said: “I think ITV will do whatever they can to keep him there for some reason and I do not know what that reason is.
“I’ve never really worked with either of them – I’ve been on the show a few times.”

Asked by GB News host Dan Wootton if Holly and Phil were nice to her while she was on their daytime show, Carol continued: “Phillip was there but he wasn’t very nice to be honest.
“He treated me as though it’s like ‘oh another Loose Woman with another book’ and I kind of get that but it was just like he was so not interested that it was a struggle.
“I was giggling and laughing actually because I couldn’t believe he was being so bloody rude.”
Carol continued to add that while that was her only bad experience with the star, she’d heard a lot of stories about Phillip being “unpleasant to a lot of people.”

She added: “Especially people who are further down the food chain in TV. I tend to think nothing will happen.
“But having said that those two so clearly don’t get on anymore. I know they used but it’s time to give it up and make way for people that are actually liked.”
On the big summer shake up at ITV, a source continued to say: “Phil is lined up as the first major name for the chop when his contract expires this summer.
“It’s highly unlikely he’ll be back in September.
“Plans are being drawn up for a new look This Morning and, at the moment, Phil is not featuring in them. He has worked on the show for over two decades. Many feel it is time for some fresh blood.”
It comes after The Sun revealed that Phil and Holly — who sparked controversy by jumping the queue to see the Queen lying in state last September — are barely speaking off camera.
