Bake Off star bags their own series in huge global TV deal
A GREAT British Bake Off star has landed their very own TV series in a global TV deal.
Nancy Birtwhistle, who won the beloved baking show in 2014, is heading to the US.
She will front a brand new baking series for streaming giant The CW Network.
The Great American Bakeover is tipped to drop on the network next year.
It will see Nancy travel across the states as she follows bakeries facing a tough time keeping their doors open and tills ringing.
The small-town stores will each receive a makeover from Nancy in a bid to save their businesses.

Retired grandmother Nancy Birthwhistle was the surprise winner of Bake Off in 2014.
The former GP practice manager from Hull vowed to “take every opportunity going” after her victory, and she did just that.
Nancy shares daily recipes on her blog, takes part in cookery tours across the UK and campaigns for anti-food-waste charity, Love Food Hate Waste.
Speaking about her win, Nancy said: “It was the most difficult thing I have ever undertaken in my life, but equally the most enjoyable.”

She now runs her own baking website (complete with hundreds of recipes) and gives baking demonstrations across the UK.
Nancy previously revealed she was so concerned by climate change that she started to use natural options – including rhubarb leaves, walnuts and eggshells – to solve many household cleaning problems.
A hit on social media, she has combined them all into a book, Clean & Green.
Nancy said: “My mission has always been to try to make cleaning completely green, effective and affordable.”
