LAURA Hamilton was left stunned and asking "what just happened?!" after a "horrendous" experience while filming for A Place in the Sun.

While on vacation in Mallorca, Spain, the Channel 4 host took to Instagram to tell her 182k followers about a nightmare that occurred behind the scenes of the popular show.

Laura, 41 recalled a "horrendous" incident that she experienced when she was assisting a couple in seeking their dream home in a remote area of Italy.

She described the location as "mud gate" and penned: "The heavens opened and all of the cars got stuck in the mud."

The TV personality then posted a video showing how, as flash floods hit Spain, she had to relive that terrible experience once more while she was in Mallorca.

Laura said: "There were blue skies and sunshine this morning. But, look at what just happened. Can you believe that? Flash floods, the most horrendous hail storm and all of those cars stuck."

After witnessing the star experiencing "flash floods" and the "most horrendous" hailstorm, fans flocked to the comments section to show their support for Laura.
