Pregnant Scarlett Moffatt forced to QUIT hit ITV show

PREGNANT Scarlett Moffatt has had to pull out of her long-running gig on ITV2's CelebAbility after falling sick while filming the latest series.

The Gogglebox legend, 32, was halfway through shooting the upcoming seventh series of the hit panel show when she was struck down by a bug that derailed production and forced her to step down.

Scarlett has had to be replaced as team captain on the Iain Stirling-fronted show, and replaced by a string of guest hosts.

An insider said: "Scarlett fell ill halfway through filming the seventh series of the show, which will air later this summer.

"She was gutted as it meant she had to pull out and not finish the rest of the episodes.

"Fortunately, It wasn't anything to do with her pregnancy, she just picked up a bug and is fine now, but because the series shoots on a really fast schedule over a couple of weeks, it meant she had to step down from the rest of the series. She will still be seen on screen for the first few episodes of the run, then she will disappear.

"Bosses scrambled and drafted in several stars to step in her shoes for the remaining episodes, including Katherine Ryan, Snoochie Shy, Will Best, Pete Wicks and Donna Preston.

"Scarlett was really sad not to have been able to complete filming but if the show gets renewed for an eighth series, she will definitely be back."

The Sun has approached reps for the show and Scarlett.

Scarlett is expecting her first child with boyfriend Scott Dobinson.

She revealed her joyous pregnancy news in February when she shared a snap of her first baby scan.

Alongside the picture, she penned: "It truly feels like a dream writing this caption.

"Me & Scott are on cloud nine & we are so happy that we get to share this moment with you all. You are so loved already little one.

Back in March, ITV confirmed CelebAbility had been commissioned for another series.

Presented by Love Island narrator Iain, the show features a celebrity panel as well as members of the public.

Marek Larwood and Scarlett are regular fixtures on the game show.
