HEARTBREAK is looming over EastEnders as Lola Pearce's emotional exit is fast approaching.
Funeral scenes have been filmed for upcoming EastEnders episodes with Jay Brown actor Jamie Borthwick at the forefront.
After more than a decade in Walford, actress Danielle Harold will be bowing out of the BBC One soap as her character Lola Pearce dies a tragic death brought on by a terminal brain tumour.
The hairstylist's condition has been worsening by the minute but she's been adamant on making some last happy memories with her loved ones.
Her husband, on the other hand, is going above and beyond to support her through her last moments - and he will do so again during her funeral.
Fans of the London-based show were left on the edge of their seats when it was revealed Lola would be at the centre of a festival-style funeral in Albert Square.

Cameras rolled today (Wednesday, May 17, 2023) in London for Lola's funeral and snaps revealed most of the soap's stars will be taking part in the emotional ceremony.
Phil Mitchell star Steve McFadden was seen alongside on-screen son Max Bowden and Callum Highway actor Tony Clay carrying a white coffin covered in a regal flower assortment and branded with Lola's name.
Jamie Borthwick, who plays Lola's husband Jay Brown as mentioned above, appeared at the front of the coffin, supporting his on-screen wife one last time.
A host of floral tributes for Lola, including one saying "Mum" could be seen displayed on the floor outside the church.
Other actors present include Shona McGarty, James Farrar, Perry Fenwick, Gillian Taylforth, Brian Conley, Scott Maslen, Emma Barton, Diane Parish and Natalie Cassidy.
While it's clear the stars gathered round for funeral scenes, none of them donned all black outfits, the usual attire for such an event.
