A Place in the Sun legend teases shock return to Channel 4 series 14 years after quitting show

, Amanda revealed: "Rumours are I might be going back to do a few episodes so watch this space.

"I can’t tell you any more because it’s a secret but I might be doing some. You’ll have to wait and see!"

Amanda said she had got a taste of what it was like to go back on the road while filming the Holiday Home Show.

She also spoke about her former co-host Jonnie Irwin, 49, who has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.

He was given just six months to live after learning the cancer had spread to his brain.

Amanda said: "I haven’t spoken to Jonnie. I sent him a message, I reached out and said I was thinking of him, sending them all lots of love.

"He’s a lovely lovely man, I wish him all the love in the world because he’s lovely."

There has been no announcement about when Amanda will return to host A Place in the Sun.

In the meantime, Amanda is hosting The Saved and Remade Workshop.

Family heirlooms and treasures can often be forgotten and left in the corner to gather dust.

In this new series, a team of skilled carpenters and metalworkers take on the challenge to reimagine the purpose and function of these objects to give them a new lease on life.

In each episode, three contributors hand over their much-loved but neglected objects to a re-maker who will transform it into a new family treasure.

With expertise ranging from carpentry to metalwork to textile design, the re-makers have the skills to bring any heirloom back to life.

The Saved and Remade Workshop airs weekly on Really on Monday from 9pm.
