Huge legendary soap star to make return to Coronation Street tonight – and EastEnders fans will recognise her too
A HUGE soap star is making her return to Coronation Street tonight - and EastEnders fans will recognise her too.
Corrie fans will see Jacqueline Leonard march her way back onto the cobbles as Linda Hancock in Monday night's episode.
Glam Linda, mum to Izzy and Katy Armstrong, last appeared in the ITV soap in 2022 and she's back for two weeks - just in time for Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter's wedding.
A TV insider told The Sun: "Jacqueline's character Linda is always popular with viewers so both she and the bosses at Corrie are thrilled to be able to bring her back.
"She's returned for the wedding but fans will remember a brief flirtation with Dev Alahan last year - and it's possible this will be revisited in scenes between Jacqueline and Jimmi Harkishin, so who knows what could happen."
Actress Jacqueline, 57, was also part of the iconic Wicks family in EastEnders back in the 90s when she starred as Lorraine, mum to Joe - played by Paul Nicholls - and ex-wife of David [Michael French].
