BGT descends into chaos as Bruno Tonioli crashes into camera and breaks prop in wild opening scene

BRITAIN's Got Talent descended into chaos within seconds of its latest episode as Bruno Tonioli suffered a series of mishaps.

The judge was competing against his fellow panellists in a race using toy cars to see who could get to the stage the quickest.

However, whilst Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell appeared to keep control of their 'vehicles', Bruno, 67, lost control almost instantly.

The Italian dancer crashed into one of the show's cameras within the first few seconds leaving show hosts Ant & Dec in stitches.

Bruno jolted as the prop car bounced back as he let out a gasp before continuing on the track of the Lowry Theatre in Salford.

It did not get any easier for the ITV show's latest judge as he wailed throughout his ride.

Eventually, upon reaching the finish line, he uncontrollably spun around in circles leaving his co-stars belly laughing.

Plunging the start of the show into further disarray, Bruno's car later broke from underneath him as it appeared to give way and snap.

Bruno hit the deck as he let out another gasp of shock at what was going on.

He recently opened up about how he landed his role on the show's judging panel in a chat with The Sun's TV Mag.

Bruno said it was more straight forward than people would realise, revealing: "A meeting was called on the 13th of January with ITV bosses and production etc, I got in and they said: Britain’s Got Talent. I said well, it's Simon, it’s Alesha, it’s Amanda, they’re all friends - of course, if you want me to. I’ll do it."

He continued: "They had to speak to Simon and then a few days later it happened and ten days later it was live and we were filming. It all happened so quickly and it was incredible.

"The truth of the matter is, years and years ago we had discussions because Simon and I have the same agent in America and some approaches were made but at the time I was doing two seasons of Dancing With The Stars a year and it would have clashed. It wasn’t feasible."
