Popular TV presenter lined up as Dancing on Ice replacement for under-fire Phillip Schofield
STEPHEN Mulhern is being lined up as a Dancing on Ice replacement for Phillip Schofield.
The popular Catchphrase host, 46, won rave reviews when he stood in for Schofield last February after the 61-year-old pulled out of the primetime ITV show with Covid.
He is now a frontrunner for the role amid Schofield’s fall-out with Holly Willoughby.
A source said: “Stephen is a perfect fit and gets on brilliantly with Holly.
“He’s long been regarded as the right man to take over and was sounded out by executives at the end of last year. He told friends he’d jump at the chance.”
Super host Mulhern, a firm favourite at ITV with a string of shows, is already set to host the broadcasters reboot of Deal or No Deal.
