THE BBC has axed a huge quiz show with a celebrity host after just two series on air.
Sports presenter Alex Scott's very own show The Tournament has been binned by bosses.
Alex, 38, had presented both series of the programme which aired in an afternoon slot on BBC One.
It saw eight players battled it out on the Tournament Run as they took part in a series of tug-of-war quiz matches.
The aim of the game was to knock their opponents out and steal their cash prize.
But TVZone has reported the programme won't be back for a third instalment as bosses free up space in the schedules.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal player-turned-telly pundit Alex isn't stuck for jobs and has become the latest brand ambassador for cosmetics company .
Alex said she took the job partly due to the firm’s green credentials.
