Charlie was broadcasting outside in Liverpool ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest final

Instead, the 60-year-old journalist was broadcasting outside from his very own red sofa in Liverpool.

The city has been hosting the Eurovision Song Contest all week, and Charlie was joined by a number of music acts and people connected to the annual competition throughout the show.

Thankfully for Charlie, the rain held off, but he wrapped up in a grey coat over his suit.

Meanwhile in the studio, Naga had sports correspondent Mike Bushell for company.

She appeared to give a nod to Eurovision's colourful logo in a multi-coloured striped wrap dress.

The garment featured green, orange, blue and purple panels and she wore a black vest top underneath so it wasn't too low cut.

BBC Breakfast fans took to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "Very #Eurovision today, and slightly similar in style,
@TVNaga01."

Another added: "Loving your outfit today @TVNaga01."
