Love Island’s Liberty Poole takes a swipe at her ex saying she was ‘used for her fame’
LOVE Island star Liberty Poole has taken a swipe at her ex after saying she was “used for fame.”
The stunning 23-year-old became a well-known face after starring on the hit reality dating show in 2021, during which she had a failed romance with co-star Jake Cornish.
Now, Liberty remains single and says she’s “struggled” after dating someone post-show after Jake, who wasn’t in the public eye.
Liberty said: “I think dating in the public eye comes with its pros and cons. I did have a bad experience dating someone who wasn’t in the public eye where I thought they were dating me very much for their own ego.
“I struggled with that, and it’s always in the back of my mind finding genuine people because sometimes there is an ulterior motive and it is to boost their ego. They think ‘how can I use her to benefit me? So I’ve had to be careful now with who I go for.’”
Liberty added: “I am just Liberty after all, not Liberty from Love Island.”

The reality favourite opened up on her dating life last year and said men never "properly fall in love" with her.
The Brummie star said: "This is going to be an interesting one because the guys I go for, it never works out.
"I just don't think they properly fall in love with me or anything...it's not a sob sorry or whatever."
Liberty then called on her granddad for some advice and asked what type of guy would suit her.
He sweetly replied: "A real man who supports a good football team, who will treat her well."
Liberty has undergone a transformation since her villa days, and now sports a stunning new hair do.
The star swapped her trademark blonde dresses for chocolate brown locks, and showed off her look recently in a teeny tiny swimsuit.
"Curvy and proud !! I was tempted to lift my natural boobs in this picture so they looked “perfect” shrink the bloating but no this is me !! So why would I, this is real and this is a normal body despite what beauty standards say just be you . MY BODY MY STANDARDS," she wrote in the caption.
Liberty uses her social media to champion "real bodies" and challenges beauty standards.
