BBC star Kate Silverton almost unrecognisable as she stuns fans with ‘fabulous’ hair transformation
FORMER newsreader Kate Silverton looked almost unrecognisable when she shared her new hair transformation with fans on social media.
The 52-year-old mother of two, who is now a child therapist and author, swapped her dark tones for a lighter hairstyle, marking a new lease of life for the former news presenter.
Taking to social media, Kate posted a picture of her newly coloured hair and told fans: "Been offline for so long while I juggle #soloparenting with book writing alongside my clinical work."
She added: "Breaking things up with a lighter colour courtesy of @cintalondon..bit scared of taking it on the road but good to have change once in a while."
Kate finished her caption with a positive ending, saying: "It's good to 'let go' and trust that nothing has to be forever. It allows us to step forward unafraid regardless."
And fans were full of praise for Kate's care-free attitude.

During the same year, Kate had another change to her appearance when she revealed her two stone weight loss as she appeared on The One Show.
The former BBC newsreader revealed that she had cracked down on her nutrition and started exercising more during the first lockdown.
She vowed to not let time at home during the height of the pandemic become an excuse to put on weight.
Kate had previously spoken about her fluctuating weight saying: "I was either going to put on two-and-a-half stone during lockdown or lose it, and I've lost it. It was a conscious decision and I knew I had to focus."
And her determination clearly paid off. She added: "I bought myself a racer bike, a trampoline and some Tracy Anderson DVDs and I got a good nutritionist. I have been eating at specific times and trying to get more sleep."
She then went on to say: "I feel so much better in myself. I'm feeling as fit and well as I possibly can at this time of my life."
