The newsreader blessed our television screens this morning in a chic ensemble that stunned fans.

Sally, 53, was dressed to impress as she graced the notorious red sofa beside co-host Jon Kay.

The presenter could be seen wearing a red, black and white patterned dress with an open neck-line.

Her flashy number appeared to boast button-detailing and a shirt-shaped silhouette.

Sally styled her signature brunette locks into a sleek look with effortless beach-waves, paired with natural yet glamorous makeup.

Impressed by her frock, BBC Breakfast fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with one writing: "Sally Nugent looking very beautiful this morning".

A second agreed, stating: "Totally agree so gorgeous," followed by several love-heart eye emojis.

Another spoke directly to the journalist, ensuring their compliment wasn't missed, tweeting: "You looked amazing and beautiful this morning."

Meanwhile, the presenters discussed the upcoming Eurovision song contest, that is being hosted in Liverpool.

Jon revealed how he has a press pass for the dress rehearsals of the semi-final, which he is eager to attend later today.

To which Sally couldn't help but tease her colleague, as he stated to the audience: "I have got a ticket to the dress rehearsal for the semi-final this afternoon."

She replied: "But have you got sequins and face-paint ready? Because you're going to need them."

"Of course," he quipped back.

Sally then joked: "I think you should send us all a picture, don't you?"

Despite their banter, fans of the show aren't pleased with the continuous mention of the singing content, with one taking to social media to write: "Does anyone know when Eurovision is on? The BBC have barely mentioned it..."

Another penned: "Coronation followed by Eurovision. That’s another week with no serious news content on the BBC."
