Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien changes out of ‘inappropriate’ skirt saying it’s ‘so short’ in TV appearance

CORONATION Street favourite Tina O’Brien was forced into an impromptu outfit change during her latest TV appearance.

The Sarah Louise Platt actress, 39, appeared on This Morning during a live segment from the Coronation Street set.

The mum of two looked stunning in a pink cardigan, white vest top and blue floral-print skirt.

Tina told hosts Dermot O’Leary, 49, and Alison Hammond, 48, of her clothing dilemma and said: “I was meant to be filming a scene but I’ve been rushed off set just to come and see you guys.”

Alison replied: “You’re dressed in character!” to which Tina replied: “I was dressed in character but the skirt was so short it was a little inappropriate.”

Tina has played Sarah Platt since 1999, after joining the ITV soap when she was 16.

Previously, fans were left stunned as Tina revealed her real age.

The star is 39 and due to turn 40 in August.

Ahead of her 40th birthday, Tina shared new headshots with her Instagram followers – and fans simply couldn’t believe it.

“I’m turning 40 this year,” she wrote.

“Decided its time to update my seriously outdated headshots for Spotlight.

“A massive thank you to @neilson_photo_actors I’m absolutely over the moon with them.

“I was quite nervous going to the shoot, it’s been quite a time since I’ve done anything like this.

“Colin is such a lovely, warm, chatty guy. He put me at ease the second I met him, genuinely feel like I’ve known him for years!!

“This isn’t an advert I’m just super pleased. Thank you so much Colin you really understand what an actor is looking for in their headshot and I just think your lighting is heaven.”
