Coronation Street star reveals ‘normal job’ he’s worked for past 16 years – despite appearing on the soap every week
A CORONATION Street star has revealed he's had a "normal" job for 16 years - despite appearing on the soap every week.
Corrie fans will be familiar with long-time extra Dirk, played by actor Adam Blease, who works in Underworld.
But, despite being a firm show regular, Adam also works front of house at Manchester Opera House.
Adam was recently seen in a photo on the official Instagram page, as the cast of RuPaul's Drag Race visited the venue.
He said in the caption: "RuPaul's Drag Race Tour is my favourite night of the year!
"Always a fabulous company to welcome into The Opera House!"

Witty Corrie fans previously launched a social media campaign called #DirkNotKirk to ensure people didn't confuse Dirk with lookalike character Kirk Sutherland, played by I'm a Celeb's Andy Whyment.
They also begged bosses to let the silent character finally have his say.
One person wrote on Twitter: "Dirk our silent street star has never spoke a word.
"We don’t know what he sounds like cos no-one's ever heard.
Carrying his clipboard ‘round Underworld with pride, he gets his scripts on Monday but it’s blank on every side!"
Another said: "He could just say 'Happy Christmas'. I'm not sure if an extra doesn't have to be paid as much for only a few words."
