BBC Breakfast fans had a burning question about Sally Nugent's outfit as they gushed 'you look amazing!'

Sally, 51, was back on the BBC Breakfast sofa alongside Jon Kay today, having been absent from Monday’s show. 

The pair brought all the latest news and topics of interest to viewers, but some were distracted by Sally’s outfit. 

The journalist wore a pretty navy polka dot dress, which featured a statement white collar and metallic buttons down the front.

Taking to Twitter, one fan gushed: ";Good god you look amazing today Sally!x."

Another asked: "love your blue dress, please can you let in where it is from? X"

Sally was absent from Monday's show, with Nina Warhurst replacing her.

Sally usually hosts the BBC's morning offering between Mondays and Wednesdays but Nina filled in as she enjoyed a day off.

It wasn't the only switch to have happened in the show's Salford studio either.

Weather star Carol Kirkwood, 60, was also absent in a second shock shake-up.

Sarah Keith-Lucas, 41, covered for Carol as she provided live weather updates on the show.

Although no reason was given for the stars' absence it was likely to be down to the Bank Holiday working pattern.
