Kate Garraway reveals husband Derek Draper is out of hospital as they enjoy gardening together
KATE Garraway has revealed her husband Derek Draper is out of hospital as they enjoyed gardening together on Sunday.
The presenter told viewers on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain that Derek was back in hospital, and today shared a beaming photo of them together at home.
Their son Billy, 13, and daughter Darcey, 17, joined them along with the kids' grandparents, and the family beamed in a rare photo together outside.
Kate, 55, wrote alongside her photo: "Funny how it was just grandad & I for the digging & planting & then suddenly everyone appears when up!!
"Crowning a very special weekend with the Drapers (Aunty Sue & grandma you are here in spirit) by planting a magnolia tree for #earthday. Happy Sunday everyone xxx X"
Friends and fans immediately rallied round Kate with positive messages.

Kate previously revealed she played Sir Elton John’s music to Derek in hospital.
She later shared the incredible moment Sir Elton dedicated a song to Derek at his recent concert.
She said she broke down in tears crying as they watched him on the piano on stage.

Derek, thought to be the UK’s worst-affected Covid survivor, was determined to make it and Kate said the show gave their long-suffering family the much-needed boost they needed.
Sharing a video of Elton on stage, Kate told her followers: “So this was a moment. Finally found someone who had actually filmed it rather than just burst into joyous tears as we did!!!
“Still can’t quite believe we were there at all - even hours before we feared Derek would be too weak - but he was determined.
“Yes Derek has been back in hospital this week & yes there’s such a long road ahead but #eltonjohn & @davidfurnish you gave the kids & Derek a moment that we will never forget and has lifted their spirits again to feel anything is possible.
“Thank you for your inspiring music and huge heart ❤.”
