Poldark star Aidan Turner looks unrecognisable on set of new Disney+ series
POLDARK hunk Aidan Turner has gone for a different look as part of his role in a new Disney+ series.
Aidan, 39, is set to star in a series adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s racy book Rivals, as TV presenter Declan O'Hara, who vows to get revenge against Lord Tony Baddingham, played by David Tennant.
Described in the book as a “mega-star of great glamour and integrity”, the actor appears to have grown out his famous sexy Poldark stubble for a thick moustache.
The Hobbit star was spotted on set looking dapper in a smart jacket and driving a vintage Mini Clubman Estate outside the filming location.
Also set to star in the show are Danny Dyer, 45, Alex Hassell, 42, Emily Atak, 33, and Claire Rushbrook, 51.
Last month The Sun revealed EastEnders star Danny will be stripping off for raunchy sex scenes in new TV show.

The actor will embark on a series of racy scenes with character Lizzie Vereker, played by The IT Crowd star Katherine Parkinson.
Danny will play Freddie Jones, who is an honourable, loyal and lovable self-made electronics millionaire.
But his wife, Valerie, has far more interest in social climbing than sex and loves her place in society more than her husband.
Freddie goes on to have a mutually joyous affair with novelist Lizzie, whose own husband James Vereker, a local TV star, is constantly playing away.
The soap star is not the only one who is stripping off for some rather X-rated scenes.
TV favourite Emily Atack will also strip off for a naked tennis match and sizzling sex scenes with two A-list actors in a new role.
Her character Sarah has an affair with Rupert, who is played by Hollywood actor Alex Hassell, best known for his roles in George Clooney's Suburbicon in 2017 and BBC fantasy series His Dark Materials.
The actors will get hot and sweaty as sex raises its head at almost every throw.
There’s a famous scene where Sarah and Rupert playing tennis, naked, and Taggie, Rupert’s future love interest, runs in and catches them.
Emily will embark in racy bonkbuster scenes throughout the eight-part series.
Her character Sarah, who is the new second wife of MP Paul Stratton will enjoy an adulterous affair with James Vereker.
As Paul’s power diminishes and he becomes less appealing and less sexy, Sarah gets bored and her attention soon turns to hunk James, who is played by The Crown star Oliver Chris.
The book is known for having numerous daring X-rated moments.
On Tuesday, actor Rufus Jones, who plays Sarah's husband MP Paul Stratton, teased at the levels of intimacy between co-stars.
He tweeted: "Currently employing 30 per cent of the world’s intimacy coordinators. We give and we give."
Eager fans raced to comment, with one writing: "I remember reading the book. Will 30 per cent be enough??"
The series features romantic entanglements, sex and unforgettable characters.
Its story is set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England.
Also joining the cast is Alex Hassell, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, Victoria Smurfit, Claire Rushbrook, Oliver Chris, Lisa McGrillis, Rufus Jones, Luke Pasqualino and Catriona Chandler.
Disney+ has confirmed production on the new series has already begun.
