Opening up about the consequences of filming scenes close to when they're on telly, Saffron Lempriere, 30, told The Sun: "The show took the measures to do that because the trolling is heavy - throughout the industry.

"I think the idea is that in three months' time we're all talking, but in that week we might not have been and it adds more fuel to the fire.

"You get an influx of s*** and you're in it even more whereas now you can breathe.

"You are looking forward to seeing it and the reaction because you're not as in it. It can become a bit toxic."

Agreeing with her castmate, Chloe Brockett said the show shake-up means "you get to see a more authentic version of ourselves".

She explained: "When the show was on and you'd see it a week later, say if I'd done something bitchy and someone had commented about that, in the next episode I'd maybe be a bit nicer.

"I would really change myself on the basis of what people had said to me. Now we can't change what we've said or done.

"Some people are coming off worse for it..."
